So the install took me about 6 hrs, that includes the alignment. Only a couple hick ups that slowed me down, but other wise a pretty simple install. I went 1 inch lower all the way around. I wanted to go about 2 inches lower in the front, but it would have caused an issue with the geometry with the lower control arms. here she sits: The ride quality has improved greatly, its as smooth as stock, but the body dosan't roll, pitch, or dive nearly as much. It gives a lot more feed back through the chassis. Alot of people on the forums say Coilovers are unlivable on a day to day basis, but I would have to disagree with that.

what coilovers did you buy, I recently bought the ksport kontrol pro's. I have them set all the way to stiff and love it. Mine sits lower than yours, my buddie did my alignment and it handles amazing.

I went with PIC or Power In Control coilovers. They are slightly more expensive then the Ksports, but they had the Spring rates I was looking for. The Ksport pros coilovers come with a really soft rear spring, the Evo's rear suspension has a Motion ratio of less then 1:1, its actually .7:1. Meaning the Spring rate needs to be higher to over come the mechanical advantage the wheel has over it. For autoX, a soft rear suspension would make it hard to get the rear end to rotate, thus the reason why I went with the PIC coilovers and the high spring rates.
I could have gone much lower in the front with all the adjustments on the coilovers, but I did not want to lower my Roll Center. If you lower any vehicle to the point were the lower control arms are actually angled downward towards the center of the vehicle, you are lowering your Roll Center. A low Roll Center will cause unwanted body roll on corner entry and thus cause understeer through the first part of the corner. Thats something I don't want.
Have you had your car corner balanced?

Richard I just got an alignment from my buddy, It handles 10 times better than before so im happy with it.

My tires are 245/40r17s, so they are a lower aspect ratio then a OEM sized tire. that also makes the wheel gap look bigger due to the small tire diameter.
Thats cool man, as long as your happy with it, thats all that matters. I havn't had mine corner balanced, I was just wondering to see how much you paid, but never mind.
You should post up a pic or two of your evo.
