there are alot of unknowns when buying a salvage vehicle. do your research, but if you have the resources to get it done, then i dont see an issue.

its a good way to save money and if you have the skills to do the repair yourself it would feasible to get it. i can tell you those front end parts are not going to be cheap!
i would assume that after the purchase and repair your going to be in the 14-16k range. body parts, lights, mechanical, frame repair, suspension repair or check over, paint and mics other repairs. but the car has 700 miles as well. do your homework pallie and join the speed community!

I'd like to get something with a little less damage, i'm thinking i'm gonna keep looking. I was at matt's place yesterday and he noticed alot more damage than i originally spotted, most than just cosmetic crap.

/\ TRUE THAT!
it can be done but the thing is your missing out on the suspension, body bracing, lsd, 6-speed transmission and many other things. you could make one as fast but as soon as you get to a corner. GOODBYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
its really up to you. is handling something you want to invest in all the other things to make the car preform as well, but if your only looking for speed. go for it! haha!

Honestly, i prefer handling to speed. My first investment would be in suspension, engine after that.

a nice set of inexpensive coil overs will out perform the stock suspension on a speed, easy fix. you could save a good chunk of change going with the 3 instead of the speed.
