how about a v8 turbo..hehe..

to be honest, if you wanted to turbo a car, buying a brand new honda probably wasn't the best choice, but more power too ya.

If i were you i would pay the payments on that thing, and get a project car.

wow, that thing sounds mean.

All I can say is it would suck to pop the motor in my daily driver, even more so with a voided warranty.

well, not that this is the only/correct way to do it, but what I would do is start searching on honda si forums. You will be able to find tons of extremly helpful info here. I would search what other poeple are doing, the parts they are using, and you could even look for someone that is at the power level you want to be at and start researching the mods he did. all just ideas of course.

But with out knowing shit about a honda, i would say that its probably got a pretty stought bottem end to handle 9000 rpm. Rods probably arn't your first concern.

and i would leave the exhaust manifold alone since you plan on going turbo in the future(no since and spending money twice on the same part)

maybe a free flowing exhaust, i know intakes are popular with hondas, but you probably wont see much gain there.

but like most professional racers will tell you, theres nothing like the driver mod. you should come to a scca autoX event with me and 1fastmsp this spring, you will really like your honda after that.

you could look for a nice intake manifold that has individual venturis/volocity stack for each cylinder, but still has a plenum. I would imagin that would give you a bit more power uptop, plus with still having the plenum im sure the low and midrange would not be as badly effected.

I tried to find a good pic to show you what im talking about, but i came up dry.

It looks like you could see some gains by going to high compression piston, but that asks the question...Is a turbo still in the future? It looks like you can up grade to a 64mm tsx throttle body...that would go good with the manifold i mentioned up top. A throttle body wont give you any power gains unless the factory one is restrictive, but with a new honda im sure the one on your car right now flows plenty. It will on the other hand give you better throttle response, since your letting a larger volume of air get to the motor sooner then if you had the smaller dia. TB.
